With the devastation of the fires in LA, 2025 is already off to a challenging start. As an Altadena native, the fire hit close to home - literally. I feel beyond blessed to say that my family is safe. During times like this, I want nothing more than to hold my loved ones a little closer and in my house, when we gather, we eat.
My goal as a host is always to create an atmosphere of comfort. Comfortable vibes and of course comforting food. A few nights ago my family and I regrouped after what has been a crazy few days over a meal with this as the main dish.
It’s not at all what I thought my first dinner party of the year would look like. But it was a beautiful and humbling reminder that we have so much to be grateful for.
This dish brings a unique combination of flavors that feel nostalgic and comforting all at the same time. I’m so excited for you all to try this easy branzino recipe. It's made of a flavorful jerk sauce served with a whole spiced fish. All of my people enjoyed it and I think yours will too!
If you feel intimidated by cooking a whole fish, don’t be! I was nervous my first time, but now it’s a regular part of my monthly dinner rotation. It’s easier than you think, plus I share some tips at the end of this recipe!
I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. Scroll down for the recipe.
